The challenge
The company’s IT staff was not equipped to manage its on-premises infrastructure. Numerous outages, downtime and data loss were hurting the business.
No one was accountable for these failures, and fixing that fell to a new CIO.
What Storcom did
We brought in a full specialized team to deliver ongoing managed services for the entire on-premises and DR site infrastructure, with expertise spanning security, virtualization and data protection.
A company this size would not otherwise have had access to that depth of expertise without a very large budget.
Once systems were stable, the environment could run day to day with a smaller staff, with senior engineers still needed periodically. Managed services covered both.
The environment: HPE 3PAR storage and HPE C7000 blade infrastructure running VMware vSphere and Windows Server 2008 through 2016.
