Find the vulnerabilities that matter before someone else does

Continuous risk scanning, also called continuous vulnerability management, checks your systems for known weaknesses all the time instead of once a year. Storcom delivers it on CrowdStrike Falcon, which assesses internal and internet-facing assets and ranks findings by real-world risk. We tell your team what to fix first and how, and report progress in terms leadership can follow.

Practice: Managed cybersecurity

Built for
For IT teams that patch constantly but cannot tell which fixes matter most.
What you get
  • Internal and external exposure, assessed continuously
  • Findings ranked by real-world risk
  • Remediation guidance your team can act on
  • Executive reporting on risk trends
Delivered from
Geneva, Illinois, for Chicagoland and customers across the U.S.

Why scan continuously?

New vulnerabilities are published every day, and attackers start probing for them quickly. An annual penetration test or a quarterly scan tells you what was exposed on the day it ran. Everything that changes afterward, such as a new server, a missed patch or a firewall rule opened for a vendor, stays invisible until the next one.

Continuous scanning closes that gap. It keeps an up-to-date inventory of your assets and their weaknesses, so you see new exposure as it appears and can confirm that fixes actually landed.

What the service includes

  • External exposure

Internet-facing systems such as VPN gateways, firewalls, web servers and remote access portals, assessed from the outside the way an attacker sees them.

  • Internal assessment

Servers, workstations and applications inside your network, checked for missing patches, outdated software and risky configurations.

  • Risk-based prioritization

Findings ranked by severity, by whether an exploit exists or is being used in the wild, and by how important the affected asset is, so the short list comes first.

  • Remediation guidance

Specific fixes for each priority finding, follow-up to confirm they worked, and help from our engineers when a fix is not straightforward.

  • Executive reporting

Regular reports on open risk, time to remediate and trends, written for leadership and auditors rather than for security analysts.

Storcom does not run one-off scans. The service is delivered on CrowdStrike Falcon and, like every engagement, it starts with a discovery call.

Which technology does the service use?

Storcom delivers continuous vulnerability management with CrowdStrike Falcon Spotlight, now part of CrowdStrike Falcon Exposure Management. It assesses vulnerabilities using the same lightweight Falcon agent that handles endpoint protection, so there are no separate scanners, scan credentials or scan windows to manage, and it adds threat intelligence so findings can be ranked by how attackers are actually using them.

Storcom is also a Tenable partner. If you already own a scanning platform, or your environment needs a different approach, we scope the service around what fits.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a vulnerability scan and a penetration test?

A vulnerability scan checks systems for known weaknesses, such as missing patches and risky configurations, and runs automatically. A penetration test is a manual exercise in which a tester tries to exploit weaknesses to see how far an attacker could get. Continuous scanning keeps you current between tests, but it does not replace a test where an auditor requires one.

Is continuous vulnerability management the same as continuous risk scanning?

Yes. Storcom uses both names for the same service: ongoing discovery, assessment, prioritization and reporting of vulnerabilities across your environment.

Will continuous scanning slow down our network or servers?

Agent-based assessment with CrowdStrike Falcon reuses data the Falcon sensor already collects, so there are no scan windows or heavy network sweeps. External checks look only at your internet-facing addresses, from outside your network.

Who fixes the vulnerabilities?

Your team keeps ownership of changes to your systems. We prioritize findings, give specific remediation steps, and confirm when fixes have landed. If your team is short on time, our engineers can take on remediation work as a project.

How do we get started?

Start with a discovery call. We talk through your environment and how you handle patching today, then scope the service on CrowdStrike Falcon.

Tell us what you run today, what is changing and what worries you. We listen, ask questions and tell you plainly whether and how we can help. No cost, no commitment.
