AI security and governance

See every AI tool and agent, and control what each one can do

CrowdStrike Falcon Guardian is the AI Detection and Response (AIDR) part of the Falcon platform. It discovers the AI tools and agents in use, traces what agents do on the endpoint, enforces AI usage policy, and detects prompt attacks and data leaks at runtime. Storcom, a CrowdStrike partner, scopes, licenses, deploys and supports it.

Watch policy catch a risky prompt

An unapproved AI tool appears, sensitive data shows up in a prompt, and policy blocks, redacts and logs it.

What is Falcon Guardian?

AI Detection and Response, or AIDR, is a category of security tooling that watches how people, applications and agents use AI and acts when that use is risky. CrowdStrike describes Falcon Guardian as bringing AIDR to the point of execution, connecting AI activity with endpoint telemetry to understand and secure AI behavior at runtime.

The problem it addresses is new. AI agents no longer only answer questions. They open files, run shell commands, browse and change settings, with the permissions of the person who started them. CrowdStrike calls the result an agentic blast radius. Guardian is built to see that activity and put limits on it.

How does Falcon Guardian cover the AI estate?

One sensor, one console and one platform across cloud, endpoint and SaaS, with detection on one side and control on the other.

What does Falcon Guardian do?

Capabilities as CrowdStrike describes them. We confirm current packaging and availability when we scope your environment.

What does Falcon Guardian do?
CapabilityWhat it doesWhat it answers
Discover shadow AIShows workforce AI use and endpoint agents: what is in use, who is using it and token consumptionWhich AI tools are running here that nobody approved?
See what agents doConnects agent activity with endpoint telemetry to trace how a prompt leads to processes and system actionsWhat did that agent actually do on the machine?
Govern usage and accessTurns AI policy into enforceable controls over how users interact with AI tools and which agents may runIs our acceptable-use policy enforced or only written down?
Protect prompts and dataApplies policy as users, applications and agents interact with AI services, stopping malicious interactions and protecting sensitive data in transitIs customer data leaving in prompts?
Detect and stop threatsDetects compromised agents, reconstructs what happened, scopes the blast radius and supports containmentIf an agent is hijacked, how far did it get?

CrowdStrike has also announced an AI gateway capability for Guardian as coming soon. We do not plan around features that have not shipped.

What does AI visibility look like?

The activity view maps each user to the agents they run and the models those agents call, with policy detections alongside.

Can you trace what one agent did?

A session graph follows a single agent session from the user through each model call and tool call to the result.

What Storcom does

  • Scope and license

We confirm which Falcon modules you own, what Guardian adds, and how it fits a Falcon Flex agreement.

  • Deploy on your sensor

Guardian uses the Falcon sensor already on your endpoints, so there is no second agent to roll out.

  • Write the policy first

We help you decide the approved tools and data rules, then build Guardian policy to match. Controls follow decisions.

  • Start in monitor mode

Alert before you block. A few weeks of visibility shows what would break and who needs an approved alternative.

  • Tune and support

We tune detections, review what the logs turn up with you, and support the platform afterward.

Who is this for?

Organizations that already run CrowdStrike Falcon and have staff or developers using AI assistants and coding agents get the fastest start, because the sensor is in place. If you are not on Falcon yet, we scope endpoint protection and Guardian together.

If you do not have an AI policy, start with our AI security and governance work. A tool cannot enforce a decision nobody has made.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI Detection and Response (AIDR)?

AIDR is security tooling that monitors how users, applications and agents interact with AI, detects risky or malicious activity such as prompt injection and data leaks, and enforces policy. CrowdStrike Falcon Guardian is the AIDR capability of the Falcon platform.

What is shadow AI, and how does Falcon Guardian find it?

Shadow AI is the use of AI tools and agents that IT has not reviewed. CrowdStrike states that Guardian gives visibility into workforce AI use and endpoint agents, including what is in use, who is using it and token consumption, so unmanaged risk is visible.

Do we need to install another agent?

Guardian is part of the Falcon platform and uses the Falcon sensor on the endpoint. If Falcon is already deployed, Storcom enables and configures Guardian rather than rolling out new software to every machine.

Can Falcon Guardian block AI tools outright?

It can enforce policy on how users interact with AI tools and which agents are permitted to run, with actions that include alerting, blocking and redacting. We recommend starting in a monitoring mode so you see the effect before anything is blocked.

Does Storcom manage Falcon Guardian for us?

Storcom scopes, licenses, deploys, tunes and supports CrowdStrike Falcon, including Guardian. Around-the-clock detection and response on Falcon is delivered by CrowdStrike analysts through Falcon Complete, with Storcom as your point of contact.
